Bringing a touch Ski Luxe to Mellor.

So, for our latest job we had the pleasure of working with our regular client and friend in Mellor who has the most beautiful house with stunning views over the valley. The brief was simple and enjoyable to take as you always tend to get a glass of bubbles or a wonderful coffee whilst on the consultation. Massive wood points from me!! The client wanted to have minimal disruption and keep the curtains, carpet and a few pieces of furniture and wanted to feel like they were in a ski lodge but keeping it light and airy. Perfecto! So we got to work on the concept and mood boards, gathering samples and working on the floorpan and elevations to help the client visualise the room as a whole. Presentation day came and it was a success! So to the install we go!

Firstly, if the client wishes, we do like to go on a little shopping trip (including a lovely lunch of course!) to see the furniture and accessories to give the client a bit more perspective. Also who doesn't love a shopping trip! Next the decorator put a lick of paint on all the walls and even the ceiling was left as it was fine as it was, then wallpaper applied to a feature wall in the bedroom and carried on through to the makeup area seen on the right of the bed. Finally all the furniture and accessories were delivered and installed and the above it the (nearly) final product. Just a couple of tweaks needed, a new mirror and 2 pictures up and we are done. The wonders of install taking its toll when the mirror you really really want has an 8 week lead time the client needs to be in! So one is hanging until the bigger and better one arrives. Why can't things always go to plan hey!?
